Abraham CASS

Cass, Abraham (Al) Al left us peacefully on the morning of November 3, 2009 in his 100th year of life. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lillian with whom he had shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Al was the devoted father and father-in-law of Barbara and Harold Mansfield and Joseph and Marilynne Cass. He was also the proud Zaidy of Rhonda Shapey (Jack), Jeff Mansfield, Barry Mansfield, Shawna Cogan (Allan) and Randy Cass (Martha). Much to his delight he was also a much-loved Great Zaidy to Kara and Josh Shapey; Lindsay and Joshua Cogan; and Benjamin, Nathan and Daniel Cass. Al is survived by his sister Miriam in California and predeceased by his other eight siblings Ben, Julie, Sam, Harry, Betty, Isadore, Eli and Zelda. The family would like to express its gratitude for the wonderful care provided to Zaidy by his three loyal caregivers Arnold, Richard and Linden. Funeral services will be held at on Thursday, November 5th at 11:30 a.m. at Shaarei Tefillah Congregation, 3600 Bathurst Street with internment to follow at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, 986 Wilson Ave. Shiva will be held at 1 Tudor Gate from 2 p.m. with services at 7 p.m. Shiva will conclude on Tuesday.
