Timothy Neil WELCH

TIMOTHY WELCH 1959 2009 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Timothy Neil Welch, of Melville and formerly of Grenfell, on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the young age of 50, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn are: his soul-mate and loving wife of 22 years, Patty; their children, who he was so proud of, daughter Brianna (Braden Reiger) of Grenfell and son Jordan Welch of Melville; his father, Ken Welch (Margaret); sisters Carol (Dallas) Piller, Wendy (Dave) Schlamp and Angie (Dan-also Patty's brother) Hoffman; his mother-in-law, Lil Hoffman; sisters-in-law Penny (Kim) Huntley, Pam (Russ) Horsman and Yvonne (Steve) Baron; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Tim was predeceased by his mother, Grace, and father-in-law, Clarence. Tim enjoyed his summers at the cabin with his family and the late-night campfires with friends. Even after selling the farm, Tim remained in the agriculture field and enjoyed the extra time to travel with his wife, children and wonderful friends. The family would like to thank Dr. van Zyl, Dr. Chal Chal and all the staff at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville and the ICU staff at Pasqua Hospital in Regina for their compassion and care. A memorial service to celebrate Tim's life will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Grenfell on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grenfell Community Aid Fund, Box 1047, Grenfell, or the Melville Communiplex project, c/o the City of Melville.
