Anne PHILIPP

PHILIPP Anne (Jenkins) Passed peacefully on November 2, 2009. She was born Shayndel Jenia Faghin in Tiraspol, Russia in 1921 and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada with her family four years later. Anne married Al Jenkins and the couple enjoyed 30 years of marriage, raising two daughters, Sybil and Phyllis. She was widowed in her early 50s and later married Hans Philipp, becoming a loving stepmother to Hans' three children. She will be missed by her daughters Sybil Williams and Phyllis (Michael) Moscovich, grandchildren Abbie, Rachel, Saul and Selah; stepchildren Kitty (Daniel) Nabarro, Lotti (Shael) Smith and Rob (Bev) Philipp and their children Michael, Alisa, Kaili, Aydin, Devon, Lianna and Oliver; her sister-in-law Timmie Faghin and nieces Lori, Nicole and Renee and their families; and her many dear friends. A funeral was held on November 3rd at the Schara Tzedeck Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Anne (Jenkins) Philipp Endowment Fund at the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Vancouver.
