Maria DI PALMA

DI PALMA , Maria Maria Di Palma passed away at the Beverly Care Centre (Glenmore) on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Maria was born in Arce, Frosinone on November 16, 1921. She eloped with Arcangelo in December of 1946, and immigrated to Canada with her three year old son in 1950 to join her husband, who had preceded her to Calgary in 1949. In the early years her life was filled with long hours of work and sacrifice in order to create a life for her family. This never diminished her love towards her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Maria's generosity and compassion leaves a tradition which we will strive to continue. Maria is survived by son Enzo (Debbie); daughter Clara (Bob); son Remo (Ann Marie); grandchildren Stephen, Vanessa, John and Paul. Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Please Note Change of Location For Funeral Mass A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 640 - 19 Ave. N.W., Calgary on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
