HORNE, Donald Harold February 18, 1926 - November 1, 2009 He was determined to do his best in whatever he undertook - laying seismic lines, managing computer operations, driving golf balls. He maintained these standards in volunteer work for Musee Heritage Museum, Sir George Simpson School, St. Albert Food Bank and Acquasize 50-plus. Born in Medicine Hat, he grew up in Turner Valley, Okotoks and Redcliff. Later he went from northern winters in cabins of loosely laid logs to a tight steel structure on Jasper Avenue that enclosed the offices of Imperial Oil.
