MASCARO, Bernard Anthony 1936 - 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer, Bernard passed away peacefully Sunday November 1, 2009 with his wife, daughter and son-in-law by his side. Beloved husband of 51 years to Jeanette, dearly loved father of Lauretta (Jose), and cherished grandfather of Ashley and Anthony. Dear brother of Thomas (Beatrice), Barbara (the late Murray), and Josephine (Gary). To honour Bernard's wish cremation has taken place. No visitation. A Memorial Mass in celebration of Bernard's life will be celebrated on Monday November 9, 2009 at 1 PM at Our Lady of Fatima Parish and reception will follow in the Parish Hall. 153 Woodroffe Av Ottawa. Special heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, the Palliative Care Outreach Program, and the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital for their professional and compassionate care. As expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, Palliative Care Outreach Program and the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
