TRUDELL, Ernest (Ernie) Peacefully in his sleep at his home Oak Park Terrace at 95 on November 3, 2009. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years Rose May (nee Garant) (October 2007). He will be greatly missed by his children Cathy (Vernon) Glidden, Phil and friend Anne Blonde, Mark and wife Bonnie. He will be remembered with love by his 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter: Brad Vernon and daughter Olivia; Heather and Vanessa; Marilyn, Scott and Tiffany Trudell. Survived by his only sister Edna Boshell and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Ernie served in the Canadian Army. He retired from Chrysler, a member of UAW Local 1498, Knights of Columbus Council 4924, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a faithful and active member of St. Rose de Lima Church for over 40 years. Ernie was an avid golfer with a "smooth swing." He played into his mid 80's. The family is extremely grateful to the Entire staff of Oak Park for wonderful care and support over the last 8 years. To his angels (you know who you are): your love, concern, and compassion brightened his days. Visitation will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with combined Parish Prayers and Knights of Columbus Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (Raymo and Wyandotte Street East) on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Dennis Wilhelm celebrant. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
