CARLSON , Diane (Dagmar) Sofie 1919 - 2009 Diane is survived and will be greatly missed by son Dennis Sivertson (Sandra), Bea and Winona (daughters-in-law), eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Karen and Ingebert (parents), Arvid Carlson (husband), Olie and Bernard (brothers), Margaret Scheurman (sister and friend), Sylvan, Raymond and Robert (sons). Diane was born in Norway, immigrated to Canada in 1928, homesteaded in Peace River country until settling at Kathyrn, Alberta on the farm with Arvid. Diane was an avid volunteer at the General Hospital, was involved in the Keoma-Kathyrn community, curled many bonspiels and baked many good pies while the curling rink was being built. She enjoyed knitting socks and mitts for everyone, doing crafts, puzzles and was an avid fan of the Flames, Stampeders and curling. She also enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren play ringette and hockey. Diane spent her last years at Shawnessy Lodge until an illness took her to Chinook Care Centre. Special thanks to Sheila, Colleen, Vanessa and Dr. Oyebanji for going "the extra mile".
