THOMPSON , Catherine Mary (Nee McNamee) October 28, 1912 - October 16, 2009 Catherine (Cathy) Thompson, whose family roots in the Cochrane community go at least as far back as 1887, died peacefully at the Mount Royal Care Centre in Calgary on October 16. Her family and friends remember her fondly. A private Cremation Service was held after her death. She is survived by son, Dan, and stepsons Harold and Lawrence, stepdaughter, Marge, eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by stepson, Bill. Thanks go to her caregivers at the Mount Royal Care Centre. Relatives, friends and well-wishers are invited to celebrate their special memories of Cathy's life at an informal gathering this coming Sunday, November 8, in the Cochrane Legion, starting at 4:00 p.m. Published in the Calgary Herald on 11/6/2009
