SPOONER, Hilda Long time resident of Sidney, B.C., Hilda Spooner passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Oct. 30, 2009 at Rest Haven Lodge at the age of 98 (pushing 100). Hilda lived a wonderful life and is survived by her two daughters, Susan (Peter), Trish, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hilda lived by example of dignity, honesty, and with high morals. Her sense of humor never wavered and will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Hilda was predeceased by first husband, Charles, second husband Alan and son John. A special thanks to the staff at Rest Haven Lodge for their wonderful care in helping to make Hilda's last years enjoyable. "With purse in hand, Hilda is now climbing Grouse Mountain.
