WARREN, Marguerite Martha ( Brent) November 13, 1916: Allan Grove, B.C. November 2, 2009: Victoria B.C. Predeceased by her husband, Ernest Gordon Warren. Survived by daughter Gale Botting and husband Neil, son Derek Warren and wife Rita. Grandchildren: Gordon, Hazel, Debbie, Pattie, Megan and Jared. Greatgrandchildren: Natasha, Laurissa, Sheena, Brittany, Ashley, Nathan, Devin, Brett, Nicole and Riley. First cousins: Joe Detjen and Thelma Detjen, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret ( "Jiggs ") was born at the family ranch in the mountains west of Penticton. She learned to horseback ride while growing up in the Okanagan. Margaret met Ernest at Hedley, where he worked at the Mascot Gold Mine. The two were married in 1937. Ernest and Margaret moved to the Victoria and Sooke area with their daughter Gale. The family commercial fished on the West Coast in the Zeballos and Ucluelet areas. Nan then retired as Postmaster in Tofino. She lived a very full and interesting life. Margaret, Jiggs, Nan, will be dearly missed by all. Rosary Prayer Service will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi in Tofino on Friday evening, November 6. Church Service for family and friends on Saturday, November 7, 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis and at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a Luncheon and Celebration of Life at Tofino Legion Hall.
