CECILE, Denis O. It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on November 4, 2009 at the age of 95 years. Loving husband to Nan (nee Meloche), with whom he celebrated 69 years of marriage. Precious dad to the late Brian husband to Denise, Allan and wife Donna, Denise and husband Mike Ilieski. Cherished grandpa to Angela and husband Dan Turcotte, Vanesa, Miles Ilieski, Joshua Cecile and beloved Pip to Ryan. Dear brother to Annette wife of the late Lawrence Perreault and the late Helen Langlois, Raymond, Peter, Arsene Cecile, Edna Bedard, Alphonsine Petrozzi. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Cecile was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #594, he served overseas with the Princess Patricia Regiment with the Canadian Army. Mr. Cecile played baseball overseas during World War II winning the baseball series for his regiment. He was an active ball player in Windsor and Essex County for many years and won the batting championship for the Essex County League. Mr. Cecile served as Past Grand Knight with the St. Clements Council #3844 Knights of Columbus. He was a former employee with Chrysler Canada for many years. McGregor) after 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
