Ida HENDRICKSON

LYNNES, Ida On November 5, 2009, Ida Lynnes of Sherwood Park, AB, formerly of Swift Current, SK, passed away at the age of 99 years 7 months. She is survived by her daughters: Marian Szmutko, Shirley (Joe) Godwaldt, Diane (Ed) Szmutko; her son, Dennis (Leone) Lynnes; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Olaf Lynnes; infant daughter Marilyn; parents: Synev and Severn Hendrickson; ten siblings and son-in-law, Frank Szmutko. Ida was born at Sheyenne, North Dakota on March 23, 1910 and immigrated to Canada in 1918 to the Pennant district. In 1937, she married Olaf Lynnes. They were married for 61 years, farming at Pennant and Moosomin. They returned to Swift Current in 1956. Celebrations of Ida's life will take place Monday, November 10, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 22550 Township Road 530, Sherwood Park, AB as well as on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Olaf's Lutheran Church, 665 Central Avenue, North Swift Current, SK. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.
