STADE _Allan July 10, 1946 November 8, 2008 What would we give if we could say We'll go and see our Dad today. To hear his voice, and see him smile, To sit and chat with him a while. He had a sense of humor, That made things so much fun. He always had a friendly word To say to everyone. If teardrops were a stairway And memories a lane, We would walk all the way to Heaven And bring him back again. Dear Lord, please take a message To our Dad up above Tell him how much we miss him And give him all our love. They say there is a reason They say that time will heal, But neither time nor reason, Will change the way we feel. For no one knows the heartache, That lies behind our smiles. No one knows how many times We have broken down and cried. We want to tell you something, So there won't be any doubt, You are so wonderful to think of, But so hard to live without. You were someone we could talk to, That no one can replace, You were someone we could laugh with, Til tears ran down our face. You were someone we could turn to, When we needed a helping hand. You were someone we could count on, To advise and understand. You were someone we thought more of, As each year came to an end. You were a dearest father and also a dearest friend. Thank you for the memories, That are yours and ours alone, For they recall so many special moments, That together we have known.
