McELROY - Carman Robert May 7, 1929 - November 2, 2009 In loving memory and with deepest sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband; father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Predeceased by his father Carman Wilson McElroy 1964, and mother Bernice Edna Brown 2005. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years Marianna and their six children; Paul (Colleen), Kathy (Chris), Linda (Randy), Ray (Donna), Alex (Kelley), Michael (Kim). Poppa also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well countless cousins and friends in Canada and the USA. Formerly from Vancouver, where he was born and raised. He attended Charles Dickens Elementary as well King Ed High School. He excelled in Baseball and Soccer. In 1962 Carm moved his family to Richmond, where thereafter he coached Minor Soccer. Carman and his father went into business Carmacs Cartage, he later sold the company, and went to work for the Fisheries then BC Packers in Steveston.
