Joan FATHERS

KAVANAUGH, Joan (nee Fathers) Passed away peacefully with devoted family by her side, on Nov. 4, 2009 at the age of 72. Beloved mother of Leslie and husband Mark Rivait, Lori Huntley, and predeceased by Lana Carr (2005) and mother in law of Brian Carr. Loving life partner of Louis Bahna. Proud grandmother Andrew Rivait, Spencer Rivait, Joshua Carr, Eric Carr, Lana Carr. Dear sister of Barbara and husband Carl Voelker, Earl Fathers and wife Bonnie, Wes Fathers and wife Beverly, Tim Fathers and wife Gayle. Joan will be missed by her goddaughter Tina Angelini, many nieces, nephews and special "Ma" to her many extended "surrogate" children. In kindness, donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated by the family. Joan retired from the City of Windsor-Traffic Enforcement after 30 years of dedicated service. Cremation services have taken place. Family will receive friends at the Fogular Furlan (1800 EC Rowe Ave. E) on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. for a Celebration of Life.
