WALKER, Madeleine (nee Gauthier) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Madeleine Walker, peacefully at home with her family, on November 7, 2009 at the age of seventy-four. Daughter of the late Mae (Sheehan) and Gilles Gauthier. Beloved wife of Glenn for forty-six years. Loving and devoted mother of David (Jennifer), Valery (Dave), and Rob (Natalie). Dear grandmother of Madeleine, Quinn, Shayne, Emily, and Tyne. Predeceased by her brother Ed and sister Anita, and survived by brothers Lou and Bob, and sisters Patricia and Andrea. Madeleine was a graduate of the Montreal General Hospital and McGill University, and enjoyed a successful career as a nurse and health care provider. She was a fun and loving woman who enjoyed time with her family, watching tennis with her husband and friends, and vacationing in Ogunquit. Madeleine's positive energy and generous spirit were a gift to those around her. We were continually inspired by her honesty, trust and friendship. She could always see the beauty and wonder in the people and the world around her. Heartfelt thanks to her relatives, friends, and staff at the Credit Valley Hospital, CCAC and Spectrum Health Care, who provided comfort and support during the past six months. The memorial service will be held at St. Christopher's Church, 1171 Clarkson Road, Mississauga, on November 11. Mass at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at the church hall.
