SEGAL, Miriam "Mimi" Antigonish, Nova Scotia We regret to announce the passing of Miriam "Mimi" Segal, Antigonish, NS, on November 9, 2009, age ninety, after a brief illness in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Mimi was born in Montreal, Quebec on May 30, 1919, the fith and youngest child of the late Marcus and Frieda (Freedman) Abramowitz. Mimi was predeceased by her parents, siblings, Irving, Eddie, Jean and Sydney, and her former husband Harry Segal. She is survived by her sons Mark and his wife Gloria and grandchildren Shannah and Richard and great-grandchildren Maxwell and Olivia (all of Toronto), Brian and his wife Julia Redgrave (Antigonish) and granddaughters Emma and Sarah (Toronto), and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held in Antigonish at a later date, on what would have been her ninety-first birthday. Donations may be made in Mimi's memory to a favourite charity.
