Mary Ethel HOWELLS

MARY ETHEL (HOWELLS) TRENOUTH- passed away at age 83 years, on Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Price Howells in 1954, her father, George Howells in 1963, her husband, Henry Trenouth on April 9th, 1991, her sister Edna Melby in 1997, brother-inlaw Ken Melby in 2002, brother-in-law Elroy Claffey in 1998. Mary is survived by her five children, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren: son Larry (Marlene) Trenouth, and their sons Doug and Rob, Saskatoon, SK; son Wayne (Peggy) Trenouth, and their children: Russell and his daughter Tamara Trenouth, Brian and his daughters Autumn and Savannah Royan, Regina, SK, Amber (Eddie) Doerksen, Carrot River, SK.; daughter Elaine (Mac) Bourassa, Balgonie, SK and their son Rick (Tracey) Bourassa, with their children Cody and Caitlyn, Calgary,AB; and daughter Gina (Grant) Lacaille, and their children Kassidy and Ben, White City, SK; son Glen (Janice) Trenouth, Radville, SK and their children, Jim (Sara) Trenouth, and daughter Teagan, Watrous, SK, Julina (Chad) Eagleson and their daughter Aleksia, Irricana, AB., Jerry Trenouth, Winnipeg, MB, Chris (Quinn) Trenouth Saskatoon, SK, Erik (Tory) Trenouth, Saskatoon, SK, Line Wang (Jeremy) Bell, Saskatoon, SK; SON Randy (Lissa) Trenouth and daughters Candace and Megan, Radville, SK. and by her sister, Georgina Claffey, Moose Jaw, SK; and brother Fred (Sandra) Howells, Weyburn, SK. and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Neptune, SK on February 18th 1925 to George and Mary Howells. She grew up on the family farm and attended the Neptune school. During World War II she took an eight week teaching course at Normal School, in Regina. She was teaching at Great West School in 1942 where she met and married an area farmer. Mary married Henry Trenouth on October 12th, 1944 and they farmed south west of Radville. They raised five children there before retiring into Radville in 1977. Mary was an active member of the Radville United Church and the Radville Royal Purple. She loved bowling, knitting and quilting many of her grandchildren have quilts she made. After moving to town she babysat for a number of years. Henry, her husband of 46 years, died in 1991. In September of 2001, Mary sold her house and moved into the Golden Heritage where she enjoyed bingo, cards and shuffle board. She was a resident of the Radville Marian Health Center for the last two years of her life. The most important part of Mary's life was her family. She was so loved. Her spirit lives on in her family. Mary's grandchildren will be the Active and Honourary Pallbearers. A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. from the Radville United Church, Radville, SK with Kathy Gudnason, officiating, Interment in the Radville Cemetery, Ravdville, SK. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mary to the Radville Marian Health Centre, Radville, SK. Everyone is invited to lunch immediately following the interment.
