GARRETT, Marjorie Donald (nee Hunter) 22 November 1910 04 November 2008 Passed away quietly at the Priory Hospital, Victoria, B.C. at 97 years of age. Born in Ft. William, Ontario, she traveled west with her family to Pincher Creek/Red Deer, Alberta, finally settling in Vancouver, B.C. She is believed to be one of the last surviving members of the graduating class of '37, St. Pauls School of nursing, Vancouver. Following her graduation she moved to Fort St. John, B.C. where she was the Public Health nurse. There she met her husband Norman and while Norman was off to war with the R.C.N. she moved to Vancouver with her son, living with her family until 1946 when she moved back to Fort St. John with Norman and son to a life of farming. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents George and Edith Hunter, her brother Jeffrey, sister Catherine and grandson Jeffrey. She is survived by her son Dennis and wife Gerri of Victoria, Grandson Jordan Garrett and wife Jody and great grandchildren Emmett, Hayley and Chase and Granddaughter Kelli and husband Darryn Keast and great grandchildren Joshua and Jasper. `Gramma'/'G.G'. will be sorely missed and will always be remembered as the kind, loving, wonderful, caring person she was. A service of remembrance and interment will be held at the Valleyview Chapel and Cemetery, Surrey, B.C. with date and time to be announced. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. & Yukon in her memory at 107 1001 Cloverdale Ave, Victoria, B.C.
