REES, John Haydn Passed away peacefully on November 18, 2008 in Victoria, B.C. Born on March 25, 1921 in Barry, South Wales, John met his wife Helen while serving in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War, and they shared 65 loving years together. John and Helen immigrated to Canada in 1947 and have since called coastal British Columbia their home. Predeceased by his father and mother, Frederick Arthur and Ida Rees, his brother Arthur and sister Joan; John is survived by his sisters Pat and Betty, his cherished wife Helen, his children Roma (Jim), Rod (Brigid) and Arlene; his grandchildren Leigh, Evan, Scott, Josh, Andrew, Craig, Pele, and Lyndsay; and his great grandchildren Soleille and Kalum. John will be remembered as a devoted and very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; for his great passion for horses; and as an avid golfer.
