Aileen PLUMRIDGE KANESTER MATTERN

HAGEN, Aileen (nee Plumridge, Kanester, Mattern) Was born in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay) Ontario on April 8, 1924. Aileen lived for many years in Kamloops where she raised her three children. When her children were grown Aileen then moved to Victoria and finally to Parksville to be closer to her daughters and their families. Aileen passed away peacefully in the Nanaimo General Hospital Palliative Care Unit on November 17, 2008 after a short illness. She is going to be greatly missed by her husband, of 30 years, James, her children Cindy (Hans Fehr) and Cheryl (Hal Lowrence) and her son Allen, her grandchildren Wesley, Daniel, Kellie, Michelle and Seann and her great grand children Denny, Jacob and Corey. She will be missed and forever remembered, by those lives she touched as she travelled through life. A service of remembrance will be held at The Meadows Clubhouse, 120 N Finholm Street, Parksville on November 29, 2008 from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Society.
