George Le Baron PHILLIPS

PHILLIPS, George Le Baron Oct. 27, 1932 (Vancouver, BC) Nov 16, 2008 (Victoria, BC) Predeceased by his father, Le Baron de Gourlay Phillips in 1957 & mother, Verda Phillips in 2001. George is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis of 44 years; sons, Adrian (Melissa) of Duncan, BC & Scott (Shelly) of Chemainus, BC; his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Skylar & Kylea & also Mathew McDonald; sister, Gwen (Harry) Wright of Courtenay, BC & brother Donald (Jeanne) of Abbotsford, BC; along with many family & friends. George retired in May 1989 after 38 years with BC Forest Products, as a heavy duty mechanic. He will be remembered for his 28 years ( as a volunteer fireman with the Port Renfrew Fire Department, 5 of which was as chief. A dedicated family man & generous to a fault, George leaves many great memories of his integrity & his unusually strong work ethic.
