HUNGLE-Elsie (nee Mundt) passed away on Friday, November, 21, 2008 at the Wascana Grace Hospice at the age of 82 years. She is predeceased by her parents; three sisters; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Fritz; niece, Linda (Brad) Chalmers; sisters-in-law, Lorena (John) Bestward, Eileen (John) Petrun, Fran (Vern) Parker; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Leona) Hungle, Ron (Marlene) Hungle and numerous nieces and nephews on the Hungle side. Elsie will be sadly missed by all who knew her especially her friends from the Tor Hill Golf Club and the Park Place friends in Mesa, Arizona where she and Fritz spent many winters. Elsie's competitive nature led her to compete in various sports such as basketball, softball, 5-pin bowling (many years on Western Canada Team), 10-pin bowling (many city and provincial awards) curling (Provincial Team representing Saskatchewan at the Senior Ladies National Championship), golfing (she accomplished 2 holes in one during her lifetime. Provincial Team representing Saskatchewan 4 times at the Senior Ladies National Championship). Very recently Elsie has been nominated for induction into both the Regina and Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. As avid Rider fans Fritz and Elsie have had season tickets for over 45 years. Special thanks to all family and friends for the help and support given to both Fritz and Elsie over the past several months. Also thanks to Dr. Steven Bester, staff of 3A at the Pasqua Hospital and staff of Wascana Grace Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Elsie. A Celebration of Elsie's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at The Victoria Club, 1300 Victoria Ave. with Chaplain Cliff Geiger officiating. In lieu if flowers donations may be made in Elsie's memory to Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Rd., Regina, SK, S4R 3L1.
