FISHER-ROY ALLEN, long time resident of the Harptree District, SK., passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the age of 85, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Roy was predeceased by his beloved wife Lila (nee Savage), two daughters Gail and Janice Hitchie, son Lorne, son-in-law Brian Eger, mother Margaret Fisher, father and mother-in-law George & Ellen Savage, sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy & Frank Gosselin and Edith & Bill McMurdo, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Irene & Jack Wells, brothers-in-law George Savage, Alex Lins, and Stan Clark. Roy will be lovingly remembered by: son Wayne, of Harptree, SK; son Randy (Maxine) of Bengough, SK, children Travis (Nicole), Lindsay (Devin), Carlyn (Dustin), and Joel; son-in-law Bob Hitchie of Bruno, SK, children Audrey and Dale; daughter Lois (Darel) of Coronach, SK, children Craig, Leanne (Kris) and son Lucas, Kristen (Brandon), and Lisa (Dan); daughter Elaine (Terry) of Regina, SK, daughter Leslie (Todd) of Regina, SK, children Sasha and Ryan; son Ernie (Cathy) of Cherry Grove, AB, children Hannah and Sarah; son Duncan (Brenda) of Bengough, SK., children Marcus and Justice; sisters-in-law Annie Lins and Yvonne Clark, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. PRAYERS will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 7:30 pm and the FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 1:00 pm with Father Andrew Pawlowicz Celebrant. Both services will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Bengough, SK. Following lunch in the Bengough Community Centre, the Interment will take place in the Harptree Cemetery. Donations in Roy's Memory may be made to the South Sask. Fiddlers, the Roy Fisher Music Scholarship Fund or St. Michael's R.C. Church.
