JACOBSEN, Edith Irene Peacefully on the afternoon of November 21st, in the midst of her eighty-sixth year, Edith left for a better place. Predeceased by her parents, her sister Ruby and brothers Ted, Art and Bill, Edith is survived by Edward, her husband of sixty four years, by daughters Nancy (Victoria) and Susan (Winnipeg) and by sons Edward (Saanich), Robert (Calgary), William (Red Deer) and James (Creston); also by eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren plus six nieces and three nephews. One of her nieces recently wrote ""Aunt Edie is the most sensitive, caring and beautiful person, such a wonderful mother and wife (and aunt)"". This sentiment was common to the whole family and to her many friends. In accordance with her wishes, Edith's remains will be cremated and in due course will be interred with those of her mother and father in Winnipeg. A celebration of her life will be held at that time. 514534 Published in the Victoria Times-Colonist on 11/26/2008
