MacROW, Violet Hilda - Our small but mighty mother, sister, aunt and friend left us quietly at the break of dawn on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Amazing mom and mother-in-law to Michele and Jean Bedard, Vi now joins her husband Earl, parents Frank and Alice Cobham, parents-in-law William and Sarah MacRow, and siblings Frank Cobham, Edith Montgomery, Les Cobham and Irene Milo. She is survived by her brother Bill Cobham (Helen) of Petawawa, and her unfailingly devoted sister Evelyn O'Farrell (the custard lady) of Kingston. Vi will be remembered with love and laughter by many nieces and nephews and their families, and by everyone whose lives touched hers. Heartfelt thanks to Vi's extraordinary caregivers Carmen Alcina and Vivian Bateman, and to the exceptional staff at Trillium Centre, who filled the last years of Vi 's journey with care, compassion and many cups of tea. The family will receive friends at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 49 COLBORNE STREET (AT CLERGY) on Thursday between the hours of 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.. Funeral service in Our Chapel on Friday November 6th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery.
