HARRIS, William Edmund - Suddenly on November 9, 2009 at Bluewater Health Mitton St. Sarnia ON, William E. Harris passed away at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Harris (2006). Dear brother of Dave Harris and his wife Marj. Loving father of George Harris (Dianne) of Uxbridge, ON and Beth Bettridge and her late husband Ray (2001). Loved grandfather of Greg (Kathy) Harris, Dan (Mel) Harris, Shelley (Gord) McEwan, Julie (Craig) Holland and Stephanie Bettridge (Dave Bice). Cherished great- grandfather of Joshua, Adam, Noah and Zac McEwan, Alex, Christopher and Hannah Holland, Abby and Ava Verwegen and Adelle Harris. Predeceased by his sister; Jessie Milliken, brother; Earl Harris and great-grandchildren Matthew McEwan, Emily Holland and Addison Verwegen. William was a Veteran of World War II and was a retired Pipefitter from Polysar. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Resurrection Cemetery 1885 London Line, Sarnia at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Breast Cancer.
