Robert George GLADISH

ROBERT GEORGE GLADISH (1918 - 2009) Passed away after a short illness on November 7, 2009 at North York General Hospital. Our Bob lived a long and glorious life. Predeceased by Edith, his beloved wife of 65 years, he will be sorely missed by children Janet, Robert (Veronica), David (Eva) and John; as well as by grandchildren Jennifer, Gwyneth, Meredith, Ted, Anne and Siobhan. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, he distinguished himself as a physical education teacher at North Toronto CI and Central Technical School; in addition to being the Secretary of the TSSAA for many years. He capped his career by serving as the Coordinator of Physical Education at the Toronto School Board in the 1970's. After retirement, he put his characteristic vigour into gardening, travelling, photography, and above all, caring for his family. A Memorial Service, followed by interment, will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14.
