ROBERT (BOB) SCOBEL After a short but courageous battle with cancer and with Penny by his side, Bob died peacefully on November 7, 2009 at the age of 67. He is survived by his loving wife Penny, son Greg (Lisa), daughter Pam Koblun and four grandchildren Aaron, Kendall, Kyle and Cheyenne. Bob enjoyed a lengthy career as an account manager in the packaging industry. He was active in many sports during his lifetime. More recent interests included curling, lawn bowling and golf, but he especially loved to ride his horse and participate in local team roping events. He had many true friendships and will be missed by all. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Carpenter Hospice for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank relatives and friends who provided support during this time. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel, 3164 Ninth Line (403 and Dundas), Oakville, 905-257-8822.
