COOKE, Glennford Leslie - Passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009 at Belleville General Hospital. Glenn was born October 18, 1938 to parents Lorraine (Poole) and Leslie Cooke. Youngest brother of Laura (Nick); predeceased by Stanley (Jan) and George. Devoted husband to Barbara (nee Stephens). Wonderful father to Darlene (Paul), Suzanne (Paul), Jennifer (Scott), Stephen and predeceased David. Loving grandfather of Corinne (James), Daniel, Shannon, Mikayla, Ethan and Tyler. Glenn grew up in the Toronto Beach area and attended Danforth Tech. He served on the Metro Toronto Police Force before entering into the printing trade. He and Barbara owned and operated Quality Decals and Labels. For many years Glenn was a loyal and active Mason and Shriner. He held successive positions, including DDGM (Deputy District Grand Master) of Toronto District 2 in 1984-1985, culminating in the final honour of being appointed Ambassador Emeritus of the Trent Valley Shrine Club. Memorial will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Masonic Hall, 53 Front St. South, Campbellford, ON. Friends and family will be received 6:30-7 p.m. with the Memorial Service beginning at 7 p.m. officiated by Rev. Bill Manley.
