m c carthy, Joseph Charles - Passed away unexpectedly at the York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill on October 29, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Loving husband of the late Elizabeth 'Betty' (nee Jacobs). Dedicated father of Donna (Jim) Nagy and Brenda (Tom) Stott. Grandfather of Cam (Jen) Stott, Tyler (Stephanie) Stott and Laurel (Cameron) Webb. Great- grandfather to Chyna. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Joe was a longtime resident of the Richmond Hill/Thornhill area, lived on Toronto Island from 1929-1939. He loved the outdoors, served during WWII in the Canadian Navy, retired from The Robert Simpson Co./The Bay after 36 years and was a faithful member of the Emmanuel Anglican Church. Friends may call at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill (4th traffic light of Major MacKenzie Drive) on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. Service will be held at the Emmanuel Anglican Church, 15 McKay Drive, Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
