CRISP, Norah Belle (nee BATTY) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Norah Crisp, peacefully at Victoria Manor, Lindsay, Ontario on November 10, 2009 at the great age of 94. Daughter of the late Hannah (Ruttan) and Norman Batty. Predeceased by her beloved husband Granville Martin Crisp (1971). Loving and devoted mother of Stephen (Rev.) and Susan (Grant) McKenzie. Dear grandmother of Christopher and Peter (Chantal) McKenzie and great-grandmother of Seren and Olwyn McKenzie. Predeceased by brothers Norman, William and Allan; and sisters Pauline, Frances and Mary. Norah loved life, enjoyed sports and was always vitally interested in the world and people around her. Her positive energy and generous spirit were truly a gift to those who knew her. She possessed many talents and her home was always a place of welcome, warmth and laughter. Her vitality, friendship and genuine concern for others were an inspiration to those who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Paul Dickson and the staff at Victoria Manor for their compassionate support and care. The funeral will be held in the Chapel at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
