WOOD, PEGGY M. E. The funeral of Peggy M. E. Wood, loving wife of the late William Charles Wood, was held on February 6, 2004, at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel where Rev. Gordon Thompson officiated the service. Organist and soloist was Barry Snodgrass. The eulogy was given by Shawna Gee. Honorary pallbearers were Jennifer Wood, Jamie McCaffrey, and Ryan Hannah. Active pallbearers were Christopher George, Jonathan George, Colin McCaffrey, Shawna Gee, Michael Gee and Mark Hannah. Floral tributes received by the family included those from staff, Canada Post, and management & staff, Baxter's Foods Ltd. Memorial donations were made to Fire Fighters Burn Unit Fund including one from officers & men, Fire Prevention & Investigation Division; St. Luke's Church; Canadian Cancer Society; Romero House-Soup Kitchen; Hospice Saint John; Canadian Diabetes Association; UNICEF; Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick; Shriners Hospitals System for Children; Muscular Dystrophy Association including one from Lingley Heights Garden Club; Portland United Church; Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, including one from N. B. Firearms Office; and C.N.I.B. Interment took place at Fernhill Cemetery.
