JORDAN, JUNE MAY With deep sadness, the family of June Jordan of Ripples, NB, announce her death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, February 25, 2004. Born at North Forks, NB, on June 17, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Emma (Knox) and Ernest Wheaton. June was well known for her many beautiful handmade quilts, some sent as far as BC and North Carolina. Her craft was in constant demand and she spent many long hours quilting. Some of her work was displayed at Casey's on the TCH. She was a very kind and compassionate lady and will be greatly missed. June is survived by a daughter, Sharon Arbeau (Vincent) of Kamsack, Saskatchewan; brother, Jack Wheaton (Alice); sisters Betty Foss (Murray), Glenna Goodheart (Edward) all of Salmon Creek, NB; Elsie Pontriband and Avis Pyne of Chipman, NB and Joyce Sleep (Ron) of Minto, NB; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Hannah and Sheila Jordan and sister, Marilyn Ackerson. Resting at the Ripples Pentecostal Church, Friday, February 27, 2004 with visitation commencing at 11:00 a.m. and a Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Stephen Tompkins will officiate. Interment will take place in the spring. Special thanks to nursing staff at Oromocto Public Hospital and the wonderful ladies of Extra-Mural Services in Minto as well as Bruce Hogg, Minto Funeral Home.
