HELMER, Mary – At the Cornwall Communiy Hospital – McConnell Site on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Mary Janet (Lasalle) Helmer of Cornwall ; age 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Lyall Philip Helmer. Loving mother of James Helmer (Linda) of Cornwall, William Helmer (Janet) of Dunrobin, Frank Helmer (Susan) of Ault Island and Ryta Allsop (Duncan) of Oshawa. Cherished grandmother of Kerry, Erica, Erin, Allison, Emily, Adam, Christopher and Laura and great-grandmother of Harrison. Beloved daughter of the late Albert Louis Lasalle and the late Janet Erma (MacKenzie) Lasalle. Dear sister of Gordon Albert Lasalle (Anne), N.B, Mildred Felicia Manning (Bill), Long Sault, Hugh Peter Lasalle (Maxine), Calgary, Carrie Erma Estabrooks (Mack), N.B., Billie Laura Nixon (Everett), Dalkeith, Gertrude May MacDonald (Hugh), Plevna, Catherine Violet Millgate (late Glen), Alberta, Bobbie Carol Barton (Bruce) Vankleek Hill, June Nixon (Royce),Cornwall and Ian Lasalle (Wendy), Calgary. Predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Russell James Lasalle, Donalda Pearl Cutting, Anna Daisy MacCrimmon and Arden Mackenzie Lasalle. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Monday, January 18, 2010 for Service in St. John’s Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Rev.Ruth Draffin officiating. Spring interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will be in attendance at the Funeral Home from 2 p.m to 4 p.m and 7 p.m to 9 p.m on Sunday and at the Church from 10 a.m until the time of Funeral on Monday.
