Bliss Jones POINT DE BUTE, NB - The death of Bliss Jones, age 88, of Point de Bute, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 29, 2004. Born in Point de Bute, he was a son of the late Alvin and Eva (Ogden) Jones. Bliss worked for the Province of NB for 20 years prior to his retirement . He enjoyed the outdoors, having a flower garden, was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed a dart game. Bliss will be sadly missed by his four sons, Bill (Elaine), Sackville, Danny (Marsha) and Bruce (Lorna), both of Amherst and Lester of Point de Bute; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Albert, Point de Bute, Arthur (Olga), Upper Kent, NB. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Landry) on February 5, 2004; brothers, Lester, Edgar, Ernest; and sisters, Hazel, Dorothy, Evelyn and Marion. The remains of Bliss and Theresa Jones are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, (3641300) with visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A combined funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 2 pm, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Burial in the Point de Bute Cemetery in the spring.
