BERNARD, DONALD WILLIAM "SAM" At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, N.B., on Sunday, February 29, 2004, of Donald "Sam" Bernard of Guernsey Cove and formerly of Fredericton, age 70 years. Veteran of the Korean War. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Kearns). Son of Beatrice "Bea" (nee MacLeod) and the late Willard Bernard. Dear Father of Wendy (Danny) Hoben - Fredericton, Cathy (Charles) Sansom - Manitoba and Terry Bernard - Fredericton. Loving Grandfather of Greg and Shawn Hoben, Michael, Teryl and Myles Sansom and Step Grandfather of Christina, Erin and Alex. Dear Brother of Clifford (Carole) Bernard - Charlottetown. Also survived by his Mother-In-Law Eva Kearns. Predeceased by his Daughter-In-Law Debra Bernard and his Father-In-Law Lawrence Kearns. Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 3:00 pm. Interment later in the Murray Harbour Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Fredericton. If so desired, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the Murray Harbour Cemetery Fund would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion, Montague Branch #8, will hold a Service of Remembrance at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 6:45. All Veterans are invited to attend. www.fergusonsfh.com
