Alton Allen PORT ELGIN, NB - The death of Alton Allen, age 94, occurred suddenly at his home in Port Elgin on Friday, March 12, 2004. Born in Murray Corner on October 2, 1909, he was a son of the late Anderson and Sadie (Briggs) Allen. Alton loved living on the open water as a lifelong Fisherman. He was a member of the East Westmorland Senior Citizen's Club, and enjoyed the friendship of all in his community. He will be sadly missed by his second wife, the former Lynn Campbell of Port Elgin; his daughter, Hazel (Robert) Edgett, of Dorchester; two sisters, Evelyn Allen of Murray Corner, and Mary Walton of Dorchester; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Ramona in 1986; son, Cedric and sister, Wanda Murray. The remains rested at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Port Elgin, NB (364-1300) from where the funeral will be held on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 11 am, Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating.
