QUEEN, MARY-JANE - Mary-Jane Queen, 76, of Malden, Massachusetts. A devoted teacher of first grade at Malden's Glenwood School for 50 years, died suddenly on Monday, February 2nd, 2004, at her home. Born and raised in Malden, where she attended school, she later went on to Westbrook College in Maine and Boston University. A life long resident of Malden, she spent her summers from youth at Goose Rocks Beach in Maine. For years she was active in the Historical Society as well as St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Her other pursuits included gardening, swimming and an avid interest in local history. She was predeceased by her parents Earl Foster and Grace Simkins Queen of Malden and her brother William Queen of Weston, Massachusetts. She leaves a sister in law Alice Lee Queen, a niece Hillary MacGrath, two nephews, Christopher Queen and Court Queen and many loving grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A service was held Saturday, February 7th, at St. Paul's Church in Malden and a private interment followed at the Forest Dale Cemetery, also in Malden. [Telegraph-Journal]
