Williams: Violet Robson June 19, 1920 - November 10, 2004 Violet Williams (nee Armstrong) passed away in the Drumheller Hospital at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving family, son Terry Williams (Jacquie; daughter Heather Lapham (Bill); and grandchildren, Amber, Jodi, Rob, Sabrina and Danielle; her brother Tom Armstrong (Kay); her sisters Isa Grenier and Ruby Moskie; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1985, her son Jack in 1965, step-daughter Barbara in 1985, and her sister Meg who resided in Scotland. Violet was born near Strathmore and was raised on the Pope Lease near Drumheller. She married Alex in 1954 and they lived and raised their family in Drumheller. Violet worked for many years at the Drumheller Hospital taking time off to raise her family and then returning to the hospital to work. Violet cherished her grandchildren and became Grandma Vi to many of the neighbourhood children as well. Her home baked chocolate chip cookies were a favourite of all the "grandchildren." Her favourite place to be was outdoors working in her flower beds. She will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of all her family. Funeral services for Violet were held Monday, November 15, 2004 at St. Magloire's Anglican Church.
