Helen Liscumb, 72 Helen Margaret Liscumb, of Prescott, died May 21, 2004 at Brockville General Hospital. She was 72. Helen was born Aug. 25, 1931 in Temiskaming, Ontario to parents Claude Burns and Mary Brown. She married Darcy Liscumb Nov. 29, 1952 in Maynard. Mrs. Liscumb was a line worker at RCA. She spent her life serving her community. In addition to her involvement with St. John Ambulance and as a first aid and CPR instructor, she also served with the Spencerville Fair and the Scouting movement. She was also a member of Wellington Rebekah Lodge #108. She is survived by her daughters Darlene (Mrs. Bazel Poulter) and Nancy (Mrs. William Oliver), grandchildren Darcy and Jennifer Poulter and Diana (Mrs. Steve Arbeau), Matthew and Andrew Oliver, sisters Marion Desjardin, Janet (Mrs. Dominic Farella), Elaine (Mrs. Rod Perrier), Linda Lionsdale (Kurt Roduner), Iris Burns and Joanne, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, granddaughter Tara and brothers Bob and Walter Burns. Visitation took place Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott. Funeral service was in the chapel May 24 at 11 am. The service was officiated by Rev. Laurie Milito. Pallbearers were Andy and Eddie Bertrand, Rick Howelling, Sean Thomunson, Allan Liscumb and Rick Tourger. Cremation with interment at Sandy Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent Palliative Care and the Humanitarian Services of Odd Fellows/ Rebekahs.
