Dorothy WALLACE

Dorothy Moore, 79 Dorothy Moore, of Wellington House Nursing Home, Prescott, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at her residence. She was 79. She was born July 29, 1924 at Pleasant Valley, Ontario, the daughter of Robert Wallace and Elizabeth Gilmer (both deceased). She was married to James G. Moore. Mrs. Moore is survived by her son James and his wife Darlene; daughters Janice (Mrs. Lloyd Hare), Joanne Moore and Roseanne (Mrs. Fred Seabrook); eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, sister Nelda Stinson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brothers Ken, Herb and Mansel Wallace. Her garden and playing bingo and cards at Walker House were among her favourite interests. She worked as a housewife at home. Visitation took place at Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, Monday, April 19, 2004. The funeral service was held at the funeral home April 20 at 2 pm, with Rev. Ian McLean officiating. A committal service followed at Blue Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Juby, James O'Brien, Roger Toupin, Lawrence Wallace, Gilles Trudeau and Ronald Jones. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Parkinson Society.
