Edna Spicer, 79 Edna Eileen Elizabeth Spicer, died April 10, 2004 at Brockville General Hospital. She was 79. Mrs. Spicer was born Dec. 31, 1924 in Bastard Township, Ontario. She was the daughter of Norman Jones and Eliza Jane Code. She married Ted Spicer June 7, 1947 in Athens, Ontario. She was a retired line worker at Black and Decker. Her interests included gardening, shopping, travelling, game shows and visiting. Mrs. Spicer is survived by her sons Jerry (wife Brenda) and Roger, daughter Sharon Rose (Mrs. Mike Dewan), grandchildren Curt Dewan, Angie (friend Bob Coville), Ted and Garrett Spicer, great-grandchildren Jenny and Tiara Coville and by her sister, Mae Davis. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers Ed, Clarence, Mansel, Joe, Mel and Howard Jones and sisters Clara Whalen and Nina Allen. Visitation took place April 12 and April 13, 2004 at Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, where the funeral was held in the chapel April 14 at 11 am. Pastor David Downing officiated. Pallbearers were Curt and Mike Dewan, Ted Spicer, Bob Coville, Doug Moore and Billy Hodgkinson. Honourary pallbearers were Jim Marshall and Ron Jones. Burial took place April 14 at Maynard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. Thank you to all her friends and neighbours for their help and support, nurses on first floor at BGH, Dr. Albert and Dr. J. Bhatt for their kindness.
