Dorothy Violet Winters, 81 Dorothy Violet Winters, a resident of St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville, died on Aug. 31, 2004 at the lodge. She was 81. She was born April 25, 1923 at Little Falls, New York to Robert Hutt and Ruby Fox. She married Barton Winters on July 5, 1941 in Brockville. Mrs. Winters worked in electronics manufacturing at RCA. Her interests were her home and her family. She is survived by her sons Mervyn (Joan), Bob (June) and Rick (Theresa), daughters Linda (Mrs. Everest Springer) and Shelley Donnelly (Glen Perkins), 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Bernilda Droppo and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and sons Gary and Jim. Visitation took place Sept. 1, 2004 at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott. The funeral service was held Sept. 2 at St. Paul's United Church. Rev. Laurie Milito officiated. A committal service took place Sept. 2 at Sandy Hill Cemetery, Prescott. The pallbearers were grandchildren Jason, Rick and Christopher Winters, Terry MacKeigan and Kim Goddard. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, the St. Paul's Church Restoration Fund and to St. Lawrence Lodge would be appreciated.
