REV. SAMUEL JOHN KENNEDY (M.A.) Born in County Antrim, Ireland on June 29, 1915, Rev. Samuel John Kennedy passed away peacefully in St. Catharines, Ont., surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 15, 2004. Samuel was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Anna Maria McBride, in 1989. Loving father to Graham and wife, Catharine, Trevor and wife, Suzanne, and Laurence (who predeceased him in India in 1952); proud grandfather of Jane, Rachel and husband, Matthew, Alison, Jean Michel, and Laura; and dear brother of Maude House of Kansas. He was a minister, missionary, builder, horticulturist, caregiver, and friend. Visitation was held Wendesday, March 17, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. at Grant Brown Funeral Home in Kemptville, Ont. Funeral service was held Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Kemptville, with interment following at Kemptville Union Cemetery. In memoriam donations may be made to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church or the Presbyterian World Service & Development (education fund for children of Ranipur, Gujarat, India) by contacting Grant Brown Funeral Home, Rolston Chapel, in Kemptville at 1-613- 258-2435.
