PERCY G. WALKER Word was received Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004 that Percy Walker, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Walker, has passed away at Fullerton, Calif. at the age of 87. He was born and raised in Fort Frances, Ont., working for a short time at the local Toronto Dominion bank before moving to Thunder Bay, Ont. and later Fullerton, where he was employed as an accountant. He is survived by his wife, Elda (Robertson), formerly of International Falls, Mn.; and four daughters and their families. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Jean and Kathleen; and a brother, Jim. The couple’s last visit to Fort Frances was in 1994 to attend the high school reunion. From that time on, they took a keen interest in the J.W. Walker School, where they have had shrubs planted and contributed to the computer room. Indeed, they kept in touch through e-mail with the principal and students. Local friends had kept them up-to-date on the new addition to “their school.”
