GLENN RALPH GALUSHA Glenn Ralph Galusha, 74, of R.R. #2, Devlin, Ont., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004 at his residence in Fort Frances, Ont. He was born Oct. 30, 1929 in Piney, Man. to the late Ed and Nettie Galusha. On June 14, 1952, Glenn was united in marriage to Verva Fearing. Following their marriage, they moved to Devlin, where they raised their family and have lived since. Glenn logged in the area for a time, but his passion and love was farming, which he worked at for many years. Glenn also worked for Hydro and the mill in Fort Frances for a short time. He also was well-known in the district for moving homes. Glenn loved country music and travelled to Nashville twice. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99 in Emo. He also enjoyed hunting, and playing cards with his family and friends. He always had coffee on, for friends to stop in and visit, and when opportunity arose loved being a bit of a jokester on his friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Verva Galusha on Jan. 3, 1989; three brothers, Elra, Roy and Jack; and four sisters, Laura, Pauline, Shirley, and Bonnie. Glenn is survived by his three daughters, Glenna and husband, Mark, of Devlin, Ont., Nancy of Ottawa, Ont., and Robin of Devlin, Ont.; five sons, Ted of Devlin, Ont., Steve and Terry of Emo, Ont.; Ralph and wife, Tamara, of Devlin, Ont., Carl and wife, Debbie, of Emo, Ont., and David and wife, Cindy, of Fort Frances, Ont.; and 18 grandchildren, Darrell, Warren, Shawn, Travis and wife, Sara, Adam, Carley, Dwight, Sheri-Lynn, Curtis, Amanda, Tess, Scott, Tressa, Chad, Brittany, Mason, Robbie, and Shelby. He also is survived by two brothers, Jerry Galusha and wife, Judy, of Sleeman, Ont., and Ken Galusha and wife, Lavern, of B.C.; four sisters, Cora Selman, Irene Stromness, and Pat Hughes, all of Fort Frances, Ont., and Colleen Johnson of Warroad, Mn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Christian Reformed Church in Emo, Ont. Pastor Peggy Mason officiated, with interment in Devlin Cemetery in Devlin. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until service time at the Christian Reformed Church in Emo. Pallbearers were Shawn Hyatt, Joe Johnson, Pat Steele, Bob Steele, and Rob and Rick Brandrick. Honourary pallbearers were Wallace Hughes, George Hyatt, Norbert Bragg, Roger Allan, Bob Angus, Jack Miller, and Bob Woolsey. Should family and friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Box 807, Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 3N1. He was a dedicated father and grandfather, and his life was his family.
