REGINALD WREGGITT With sadness, the family of Reginald Lawrence Wreggitt announces his sudden passing at his home on July 29, 2004. Reg was born on March 8, 1939 in Fort Frances to the late Roy Wreggitt and Madeline Perrault, and lived all his life in Fort Frances. He took great pride in his ability to operate heavy equipment with precision, which he did for the 30 years he worked with the Fort Frances Public Works Department. We are thankful that when the opportunity arose, Reg chose to take early retirement in March, 2000. Because each of us knew Reg from a different perspective, we will carry with us our own special memories of him, but will share those of his quiet but mischievous nature, his quick wit, and his appreciation for a cold brew, a good cigarette, and a friend. Reg is survived by half-brothers, Ray Wreggitt, Hugh and Richard McTavish, half-sisters, Elsie Jensen and Kitty Desrosiers, numerous nieces and nephews and their families, as well as by the special people at the Rainy Lake who shared his daily life and formed part of his extended family, too. Reg was predeceased by his parents, by his sister and lifelong friend, Jacqueline Gushuliak, by brother Terry Wreggitt, and by half-brothers, Bill Wreggitt and Alvin Perrault. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004 at the Green Funeral Home at 2 p.m., with Deacon Bill Adair officiating. Honourary pallbearers will be nieces Terilynn Wreggitt and Dawn Hayes; brothers-in-law, Matt Gushuliak and Ken Desrosiers; nephew Matt Patrick Gushuliak and great nephew Cale Hayes. Reg’s cremated remains will be brought to his final resting place in Riverview Cemetery following the service. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in care of Green Funeral Home. Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be ever at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face And the rain fall softly on your fields And, until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
