THOMAS ELLWOOD ‘SKIP’ JACOBS Thomas Ellwood “Skip” Jacobs Passed away at his home in Olympia, Wash. on Friday, Oct. 22, 2004 at the age of 74. He was born Aug. 19, 1930 in Wildwood, N.J. He is survived by his wife, LaDonna; daughters, Barbara Aalgaard (Michael) and Mary Beth Jones; son, Thomas Olson (Kimberly), and Jennifer Jacobs. He was predeceased by his daughters, Debra Ann Baker and Pamela Sue Hilt; granddaughter; Kaysi Hilt; and step-daughter, Melinda Emery. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Pam (Terry) Munn, Dean (Cathy) Quinn, and Glen (Jackie) Quinn, and Jerry, Ricky, and Laura Emery. Papa Skip was dearly loved by all of his 18 grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is greatly missed by his pet dog, Macaroni. Mr. Jacobs served in the for 20 years in both U.S. Army and U. S. Air Force. He retired in Spokane, Wash., where he operated several buisnesses. He moved to Florida where he lived for 16 years. He and LaDonna later returned to Olympia to be closer to their family. In his later years, Mr. Jacobs enjoyed travelling, cooking, ceramics, and most of all attending his grandchildren’s athletic events. A memorial service was held at Grace Community Church in Auburn, Wash. Military burial service to be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington, Wash. Love always, Sarah.
